Meet the team…
Elizabeth (Betsie) joins the Mountain Adventure Camps team this coming summer as our summer camp language teacher.
Betsie is originally from the UK and has been fortunate to travel a lot in recent years, she is currently on a placement in Jordan studying Arabic as part of her undergraduate degree in French and Arabic at the University of Manchester, UK.
Whilst in Jordan, Betsie is also volunteering with refugees in the Zaatri refugee camp and working on other refugee based projects.
In the last couple of years, Betsie has taught in India and Morocco and back in the UK helping students study for their French GCSE exams – we assume they passed with flying colours!
More recently, Betsie has worked for a French environmental association in Morocco establishing and managing an environmental youth group, as well as working as a French/English translator. During her time in Morocco, Betsie also volunteered in a children’s sports club and at an adults language school teaching English.
As you’ve probably gathered, Betsie enjoys travelling and is extremely passionate about languages too having studied German, Spanish, Arabic and French, in the UK, France, Morocco and now Jordan!
